I love inspirational tunes! You know, the ones that carry a great message and just gives you a good feeling whenever you listen to it. In the tradition of my favorite inspirational songs like 'Unwritten,' 'No More Drama,' "Proud,' and so many more comes my newest favorite: Katy Perry's 'Firework.'

This one is the newest "feel-good" song that ranks right up there with the best of em'. To me it's all about one person lifting another up, giving them props for just how special they are. I like to think that we're all special in one way or another, and this song could be about any one of us.

Though the whole song is sweet sounding, it's the lead-up to the chorus that gets me:

You just gotta ignite, the light, and let it shine
Just own the night like the 4th of July
