Today's song is a relatively obscure one from one of my favorite singers, Cyndi Lauper. It's from her 1997 album, "Sisters of Avalon," and it's a thumping dance song about the double life of a drag queen, 'trying to get through another deadbeat day,' but at night the 'working boy becomes a dancing queen.' The song features some great background vocals as well as Cyndi's trademark yodel. It was a dance hit in 97, reaching #24 on the charts and the video features a very pregnant Lauper disguising her 'condition' by turning her belly into a disco ball. Ah, I just love Cyndi!
