Madonna Mania Begins
We’re almost there! Madonna Mania is coming! After a long, long time out of the spotlight, Ms. M shall soon make her triumphant return to radio stations and TV programs everywhere with the upcoming release of her newest album, titled “MDNA.” Whenever Madge makes an album it is always met with great fanfare and anticipation, but it’s been an almost four-year respite since "Sticky and Sweet," so this time is going to be a little crazy, to say the least, and I can't wait!
I’m connected to plenty of Madonna fans on Twitter, many of whom are way more involved than I, and it’s cool to get to keep up with all of the happenings as they happen. News bytes, rumors, photos…you name it, fly across my screen all the time, and of course there’s plenty of Gaga bashing, which I don’t really care for.
Madge has already been making the rounds, appearing with ABC’s Cynthia McFadden in an interview shown on Nightline last night, Good Morning America this morning, and 20/20 this evening. Here’s a clip of a good portion of the first part of the interview, from Nightline:
A couple of days ago (I learned on Twitter!), Madonna taped an episode of the Graham Norton Show in England. Graham Norton is a hysterically funny PLU/talk-show host who I've followed on and off for years, and I can't wait to see this episode, which is going to air tomorrow night on BBC America at 10:45 P.M.
It was during this taping that Madge first revealed the tentative title of the new album, the clip which you can check out on BBC America's website here. In the meantime, here's a short clip of Mo and Graham chatting it up about Gaga:
Oh, I miss watching Graham! Anyway, the new single, "Gimme All Your Luvin," with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. is set to be released on Tuesday, February 7th and I can't wait to hear what the finished product sounds like. Raw audios of the leaked version are out there and if you haven't heard the song, sans the female rappers, you may choose to search it out, but I prefer to wait for the real thing and so I won't post anything here.
So get ready, because Madonna Mania will be raging once again in the coming weeks.
