Another huge force in the 1990's was a young upstart from North of the Border, who went from being a squeaky-clean, pop princess to an angst ridden rock impresario overnight in 1995 when her album "Jagged Little Pill" came out. Alannis Morissette's "You Oughta Know" was the first single from the album, and it is explicit and raw and very good, and it catapulted Morissette to the highest of heights, with six singles helping the album reach 16 milion in sales here in the US and 33 mil worldwide. I know I sure had it...and played it out!
