M.D.N.A.: Fast, Furious, and Glowing!
There are less than two weeks from the highly anticipated release of "M.D.N.A.," the latest studio album from Madonna, and the song snippets, early previews and chatter are coming in at a fast and furious pace. A couple of weeks ago I shared the second single from "M.D.N.A.," and a video preview teaser for "Girl Gone Wild" was put out just a couple of days ago:
As blogger D'luv says on Chartrigger, the vid is very reminiscent of the one for 1990's "Erotica," with lots of sexual imagery and done in black and white. Definitely looking forward to seeing the entire thing!
Previews
Over the past week, it seems journalists have gotten their preview listens of "M.D.N.A." and for the most part they're raving:
To sum up – she's nailed it. And in doing so seems to have produced one of her most personal lyrical efforts to date.

Madge has gone back in the Confessions On A Dancefloor direction for an album packed with big pop classics.

MDNA represents a determined, no-nonsense restatement of the Madonna brand following the lacklustre Hard Candy.
- The Independent
The record...has some of the finest musical moments we've heard from the pop legend in the last few years, recalling the finer songs and themes she explored on Ray of Light and Confessions on a Dance Floor.
- MTV
Yes, it appears that Madonna fans are in for a big treat with "M.D.N.A." Comparisons to the best of "Ray of Light" and "Confessions on a Dance Floor" seem to permeate the opinions of the experts. Of course, once I've gotten a couple of listens in after the album's release on March 26th, I'll add my own opinions.
The singer is becoming frustrated with the sorts of leaks that appear in today's music scene, and she's been offering her own teaser previews to stave off the would-be spoilers, but I'm not down with the music listener of today in that way. As in the past, I've got patience, and I can wait two more weeks for the full force of "M.D.N.A." and I'm definitely looking forward to it!
I am so there!
