Estelle Gets Dirty (and Funky!) with "Make Her Say (Beat It Up)"

Estelle is Back!  Yes, that British R&B singer who's always been a whole lot more than her 2008 Grammy-winning song American Boy, has just put out a new song, Make Her Say (Beat It Up).  The song is from her upcoming third in a series of EP's titled, Love & Happiness (where the hell have I been?), and it's very funky, and very, very explicit...but sexy!  Haha.  Check it out...

Song of the Day - American Boy - Estelle, with Kanye West

It's hard to believe this song is practically five years old.  Back in 2008, this song was all over the place.  It was catchy, irresistible, and a lot of fun to sing along to.  The song made me a fan of the now 33 year-old British R&B singer, songwriter and rapper.  Her album Shine, on which this song appeared, was chock full of dance ditties, fun pop tunes and a couple of nice ballads, too.

Estelle has since released another record, All of Me, in 2012, but it hasn't fared nearly as well as the former.  I featured a couple of songs from All of Me, and I like the album.  It's really too bad the thing sputtered, because I might have paid it more attention on my own. Ah well, keep a going Ms. Estelle!

Song of the Day - The Life - Estelle

Today's song is the opening cut to Estelle's newest, "All of Me." It's a nice, catchy tune that's got Miss Estelle singing and rapping like many of the songs on her debut, "Shine," which was a great album.  It's a nice way to open a record, kind of on the dramatic side, which reminds me of some of the stuff Janet Jackson used to do.  Nice song!

Song of the Day - International (Serious) - Estelle feat. Chris Brown & Trey Songz

Estelle is one of my favorite new singers and this week she released her second album, "All of Me," which of course I downloaded right away. Though not the first single (that's the song "Thank You"), this one is an early favorite and it features the likes of Chris Brown and Trey Songz. The tune is fast and funky and I love it! Today's song is a recent hit by British singer Estelle, who's soon to be releasing her new album, "All of Me," much to my excitement. Of course this one features the raps of Mr. Kanye West and it was Estelle's biggest hit to date, but her first album, "Shine," from which this came, was really, really good!
