Here's a recently discovered tune by way of Spotify that already had a ring of familiarity to it when I first heard it. I'm actually thinking I must've heard it in a store somewhere while I was shopping and somehow it creeped into my brain. The song is...how shall I say...subtle, in that it's very rhythmic and very catchy, yet it's something you can enjoy while you're not even really paying attention. The singer is George Ezra, another Brit talent, and when I first saw the video I couldn't help but think of Rick Astley, because it's hard to believe that that voice is coming out of that man, lol. Anyway, Budapest is the perfect song for a lazy Sunday, so kick back, press play and enjoy...

Song of the Day - Changes - Faul & Wad Ad & Pnau (Robin Schulz Remix)
Baby I don't know
Just why I love you so
Maybe it's just the way
That God made me this day

Ever since hearing Robin Schulz's remix of the mesmerizing Prayer in C, I've kept an eye open on the German deejay/producer and I recently discovered, and downloaded, his newest set of remixes called simply Prayer. Of all the new music I've downloaded recently, this album is the most pleasing overall. Changes is the opening cut on Prayer and it's another sort of mesmerizing tune that features a chorus of children on vocals in front of a chilly, groovy music track. Check it out and have an awesome Saturday!

Song of the Day - Habits - Tove Lo
You're gone and I gotta stay
High, all the time
To keep you off my mind
Ooh ooh ooh ooh...
Spend my days locked in a haze
Trying to forget you babe
I fall back down
Gotta stay high all my life
To forget I'm missing you
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
During our car ride home yesterday, this song came on my iPod and my friend Sonny commented that he loved it, which of course made me pay more attention to it. It really is a great song...a little torchy, and to me very retro, like something Amy Winehouse or Duffy might've done. Tove Lo is yet another talented Swede who put this one out about a year and a half ago. If you don't know Habits, and you like this sort of music, I suggest you click play below...

Song of the Day - The Days - Avicii
Under the tree where the grass don't grow
We made a promise to never get old..
We made a promise to never get old..
Avicii is back with a brand new song, and this one's got star power. Former Brit teen idol Robbie Williams, who did make quite a name for himself after his days with Take That. With several top selling albums, as well as seven #1 singles in his native U.K., Williams takes the vocals on this melancholic and melodic tune that's both a nice follow-up to Avicii's best selling True and a nice lead-in to his next album, Stories. The new record is set to include other stars, as well, including Coldplay's Chris Martin, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, and Jon Bon Jovi. Oh, I am definitely looking forward to that one, but in the meantime we've got The Days...

Song of the Day - Waves - Mr. Probz
My face above the water
My feet can't touch the ground
Touch the ground...
...And it feels like
I can see the sands on the horizon
Every time, you are not around
I'm slowly drifting, drifting away
Wave after wave
This song and especially these words have been floating through my mind the past two days. Lost!
Drifting away, wave after wave, wave after wave...

Song of the Day - Coming Home - Gorgon City
Today's song is from a British electronica duo I only recently discovered, though they've been around for a couple of years already. I just downloaded their brand new album, Sirens, and this is the record's opening cut, a pleasant, head-bopping tune that fits well equally as a hypnotic lounge song or a late-night dance floor groove. Check out Coming Home...

Song of the Day - Beggin For Thread - Banks
So I got edges that scratch
And sometimes I don't got a filter
But I'm so tired of eating
All of my misspoken words
I know my disposition gets confusing
My disproportionate reactions fuse with my eager state
That's why you wanna come out and play with me, yeah
Why?
Here's another one of those Spotify tracks I've recently discovered. The artist is a singer from L.A. and this sexy, sultry, chill tune, although I have no idea what it's about, is from her debut set, London. Check out Beggin for Thread...

Song of the Day - Prayer in C - Lilly Wood & Robin Shulz
Yeah, ya never said a word
You didn't send me no letter
Don't think I can forgive you
See, our world is slowly dying
I'm not wasting no more time
Don't think I could believe you
I first shared this one with you all a few weeks back and I am sharing it again today because I absolutely love it. To me, both the music, the lyrics and the vocals are simply mesmerizing. If you haven't checked out Prayer in C, then what are you waiting for? Happy Thursday!

Song of the Day - Crazy - Ornette
I've been discovering lots of new stuff on Spotify lately that I would not ordinarily have found otherwise. It has definitely become one of my main sources for new music. I've found some nice gems over there, many of them of the chill/lounge genre, and here's one I found to be very appealing, chill through and through. I really couldn't find anything on the artist, though it sounds like she's got a French accent....I dunno, but those French make some nice lounge music. Anyway, check out Crazy and have a great day!

Song of the Day - Waves - Mr. Probz
My face above the water
My feet can't touch the ground,
Touch the ground, and it feels like
I can see the sands on the horizon
Every time you are not around
I'm slowly drifting away
Wave after wave, wave after wave
I'm slowly drifting (drifting away)
And it feels like I'm drowning
Pulling against the stream
Pulling against the stream
I first shared this song back in July and I still haven't tired of it yet. Between the raspy vocals of Dutch singer/songwriter Mr. Probz and the steady, rhythmic music track, this one's about as chill and relaxing as it gets. It's a perfect song for a lazy Sunday...

Song of the Day - Younger - Seinabo Sey
There is a way to be yourself, I assure you this
There's a way to catch your dreams without falling asleep
You might as well get it while you can, babe
Cause you know you ain't getting any
Younger, younger, younger
Are you?
I dunno, lately I've been discovering a lot of nice new chill songs, mostly on Spotify. I love chill music! It's the kind of music you can play that won't distract you, yet it soothes the mind with its rhythmic sounds, melancholic vocals and soothing vibe. Swedish pop soul singer Seinabo Sey does all that and more with a song that melds its way into your brain in the most subtle of ways. Perhaps it wouldn't fare as well watching this video on here as opposed to listening to it without imagery. I don't really think it needs it. Please, check out Younger...

Song of the Day - Say Something - Tiesto
Here's a really nice, brand new groove from superstar deejay/producer Tiesto for your Hump Day. The song is kind of late night chill, and I'm loving the vocals though I can't seem to find out who did them. Check it out...

Song of the Day - Wild Child - Wekeed
Here's a funky little ditty I discovered recently on Spotify. It's from a French electronica/chill duo called Wekeed and it's from last year, but the song surely sounds summery to me, with a light-hearted rhythm and equally bright, dubstepish vocals. Check it out...

Song of the Day - Prayer in C - Lilly Wood & The Prick (Robin Shulz Remix)
Yeah, You never said a word
You didn't send me no letter
Don’t think I could forgive you
See our word is slowly dying
I’m not wasting no more time
Don’t think I could believe you
You didn't send me no letter
Don’t think I could forgive you
See our word is slowly dying
I’m not wasting no more time
Don’t think I could believe you
Here's my newest favorite song, one that I recently discovered on Spotify. I've never heard of Lilly Wood before, but I am loving her raspy voice on this hypnotic and melancholic chill vibe. Yes, the lyrics are repetitive, but so is the rhythm, and that's what makes it stick in your head long after a listen. You HAVE to check this one out...
