Yesterday I was looking through some of my older stuff on my iPod to listen to and I came across this one. I found myself singing at the top of my lungs to the tune not just once, but two times, and reliving memories of 99. All along I thought to myself, "there's my Song of the Day for tomorrow!" Today is Monday and I need a swift kick in the butt so I decided to start my first day back at work with a little advice from Ms. Macy Gray. As always, whenever I'm on vacation I never seem to take advantage of the free time to get what I need to get done, and now that it's time to get back to work I think I will listen to this one a few times and start doing some things...
The song is one of my favorites off of Macy's first album, "On How Life Is." The record is full of great tunes, like the stellar "I Try," the funky "Caligula," and the tender "Still." It's definitely worth a pick up if you love some funky R&B mixed with some great, meaningful ballads and oh that voice!
