Anybody out there remember Queer as Folk? Or Kristine W?  Well I sure do, and this song, if I remember correctly, helped open up the third season of the series, and the cast members all did cameos in the vid alongside Ms. W., who's always had one helluva voice.  Oh, I miss those guys, Michael, Brian and Justin, Emmett, Ben, Melanie and Lindsay, Uncle Vic, and of course Debbie Novotny, played by Sharon Gless.  What a great show that was!

Song of the Day - Shine - Cyndi Lauper

Had a date yesterday with someone with whom I've been trying to get together with since last summer. Between Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard Nemo, and all of the other obstacles that life throws in one's way, several months passed in the blink of an eye, but the day finally came and it was really nice!

Any-who, during our meal together, we were discussing music.  He and I both have the same taste, and one of our mutual loves is Cyndi Lauper.  He had posted her version of Prince's When You Were Mine on his Facebook page the other day and that was how the topic came up.  He told me that his favorite song of hers was Shine, which I shamelessly confessed I did not know.  She performed it on Queer as Folk, which I'm sure I saw, but forgot.

By the time I had gotten home, he'd shared the video with me and of course, I loved it, so much so that I thought it'd make a good song to be featured here.  Check it out...
