In case you've been living away from the Internet today, you might have missed that at midnight last night, Madonna dropped six tracks off of her upcoming album, Rebel Heart. The drop was made at midnight last night and I was as surprised and joyful as I could be, quickly running to iTunes to pre-order the album so I could download the finished tracks.
The singer made the six tracks available out of frustration by the many leaks that have plagued her most recent work. She released a statement that explains it all...
"I was hoping to release my new single 'Living for Love' on Valentine's Day with the rest of the album coming in the spring. I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift."
