Snow Days - Just a Part of Life in Winter Months

It's winter!  That's it, plain and simple.  Those of us who live in places that experience the most dreaded season of them all just have to take what comes and accept it.  I've always said that spring is that much sweeter for those of us who experience winter, but sometimes, like today, it's hard to deal with.

Check out the map above...that's today, Tuesday, January 21st.  Not only have we been having major snowfall since around noon, but the temperatures are expected to plummet to frostbite status later in the evening.  School closed early today and will be closed tomorrow as well.

So, aside from terribly scary and slow-moving driving conditions (my friend Gary took six hours to get home on a normally one-hour drive!) and having to shovel the driveway multiple times, I and many others across the tri-state region are faced with being cooped up in the house for the next 24 hours or so.  Ah, what to do, what to do....will I be productive?  Or not?  How about you?

Here are some pictures I swiped off of my Facebook feed just to show you what it's like out there...

Be careful out there .

Be safe out there, and check out a few of pieces I've penned on the subject of snow:
