This was one of my favorites from Janet's breakthrough 1986 album, "Control." She was just a young thing back then (weren't we all?), and although she'd made albums before it, she never really hit the big time until this one. The album contained some great and memorable songs, such as "What Have You Done For Me Lately," "When I Think of You," "The Pleasure Principle," the title track, and lots more. The songs were all done in the vein of the Prince-inspired "Minneapolis Sound" that was so hot during the mid to late eighties.
For those of you who may not know, check out then choreographer and former American Idol judge Paula Abdul in the video as one of Janet's buds. Weird, huh?
