Jello Shots

Have you ever been invited to a party and weren't sure just what to bring?  Well, if you've got a couple of hours on your hands before the big shindig, then Jello shots are a surefire crowd-pleaser that'll definitely get you invited back again.  And what's more, you can make them in a variety of delicious ways and they're easy to make.

Here's the basic recipe:

- plastic or paper jello shot cups (found in any party store)
- 1 3 oz. box of gelatin (each box makes about 20 shots)
- 1 cup of boiling water
- 1 cup of an alcoholic beverage (usually vodka, but you can use rum, too!)
- whipped cream (optional for a Jello shot topper)

All you have to do to get started is first, boil the water, then add it to the gelatin and whisk together to dissolve the powdered mix. Next, add the vodka (or rum) to the mixture, pour it into the Jello shot cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Now, of course you can mix up the flavors of your Jello shots to your own liking by getting the flavors of gelatin you'd like to use, but you can add even more variety by mixing in different liquors, a peach schnapps perhaps or a triple sec, maybe.  The possibilities are literally endless.  (If you're going to use a second liquor, just adjust the two to 1/2 cup each)

Rather than copy and paste some recipes, I'm going to point you to some websites I found with some mixtures I'm sure you might find to your liking:
